Linda founded
Meeting Encore in 1990, at a time when phones
still had cords and computers were still typewriters
that memorized only one line at a time.
-
Driven,
self motivated and passionate about business,
Linda’s more than 30 years in the hospitality
industry have brought huge success. Meeting
Encore has flourished year after year –
which Linda and her partner Greg attribute to
their Team of incredible, highly motivated,
determined professionals.
-
Add
to this Linda’s pride in her 3 wonderful
children (they are really amazing people)
and she’s complete!

Having spent
his first 15 years in the industry on the F&B
side, Greg remains passionate about his food
and wines. He’s the company expert, and
both clients and associates rely on his invaluable
expertise.
-
Greg’s
always generous with his praise about the world
of hospitality - and enjoys contributing and
collaborating on the many panels he’s
asked to sit on, sharing his years of experience
and insights into the future of the industry.
-
“Yes
I am lucky. And the harder I work - the luckier
I get”. When you hear Greg’s laugh,
you know he certainly has a lot of luck in his
life!

A veteran

Solange Martin
- Directrice Régionale |
-
Hotel
business? It runs in the Martin family. Solange’s
grandmother, uncles and cousins were hotel owners
and operators.
-
With
a B.A. in Tourism, Solange got her start in
hotel sales. As she dedicated her life to her
career, Solange received numerous promotions
along the way. Her extreme hard work was rewarded
when she became one of the few female General
Managers in Canada at a hotel and convention
center in Quebec’s Eastern Townships.
-
Solange
has been with Meeting Encore for over a decade
now, and takes care of clients throughout the
entire province of Quebec.
-
“Staying
fit is my mission. Painting (on slate) is my
passion”

Carol-Ann Hennessy
- Regional Director |
-
It's
been 20 years since Carol-Ann was persuaded
to join the hotel industry. During that time,
she's earned her reputation of being a hands-on,
thorough and attentive sales professional. Her
strong negotiating skills have won her respect
and appreciation from both clients and industry
partners alike - who also enjoy her infectious
sense of fun while getting the job done.
-
Passion?
Carol-Ann's is being a Mom and a "Big Sister",
and although she can often be found pouring
thru travel and home & gardening magazines,
you'll never see her even glance at a cook book!
"What will I make for dinner? Reservations!"

Marianne Carvalho
- Coordinator |
-
As
one who prefers not being in the public eye,
Marianne’s talents are behind the scenes
at Meeting Encore. She spends each day offering
her full attention to clients, meeting proposal
deadlines, handling office administration, and
liaising with hotels & resorts across the
continent and beyond!
-
After
hours, Marianne enjoys cooking (and eating),
watching tv, running and reading. Her “bucket
list” includes traveling to Egypt, running
another full marathon (as if completing
the 2007 Chicago Marathon in the heat wasn’t
challenging enough???), conquering her fear
of heights and winning at Scrabble without cheating!

Joe Nishi
- Regional Director |
-
Joe
joined Meeting Encore in January 2009 and is
thrilled to be part of this unbelievably rewarding
side of the business. His 18 years in hotel
operations and sales-leadership positions built
a strength in skills that gives Joe the opportunity
to put his talents in sales to work for him.
-
Joe
thrives on the hands-on relationships he has
with his clients and already sees that his vision
of success and rewards in his career are here
to stay.
-
Since
giving back to the hospitality community is
so important to Joe, he generously lends his
time and talents as Chair of MPI Foundation
Canada.
-
Another
huge part of Joe’s fortune is his 3 kids,
2 cats and 1 very patient spouse. Joe feels
he is a blessed man!

Experience?
Jennifer’s got plenty! Her hotel background
includes sales roles with Delta, Pan Pacific,
Kimpton, Starwood, and recently Marriott International
