Carol-Ann began her career in financial sales over thirty years ago, and soon realized she could apply her experiences within the hotel industry, while having much more fun! Following Corporate Sales for 7 years at the property level with Delta and Sheraton Hotels, she was promoted to the Global Sales Office for Westin Hotels & Resorts, soon to become Starwood! While enjoying the many challenges and rewards, including “Global Seller of the Year” award, she earned the reputation of being hands-on, thorough and “fun”, from both clients and industry partners alike.
Fast forward, she is in her 15th year with Meeting Encore! She enjoys networking with MPI and PCMA and when she is not thinking about her clients, she is thinking of her two amazing kids and being a “Big Sister”. While she is often seen attending home and design events, along with cheering on the Raptors, Leafs and Jays (showing off her competitive side), she is also dreaming of operating her own winery one day, while specializing in the Chardonnay grape!
What is your favourite part of the job - Overcoming obstacles for my clients and ultimately making the outcome a “win win” for all!
What is your favourite childhood memory - Playing hide and seek with my four siblings in the forest across the street from our family home. Back then I could climb trees and enjoyed heights…oh how things have changed?!
What is your favourite form of exercise - Not a big fan of working out, which is why I love the ARC machine at my gym! Super easy and I actually work up a sweat while watching others work harder than me!
Who do you admire most in life - My two amazing kids, Monique and Christian. Every day they teach me how to be a better person. Who knew children were so smart!
